Riziki
received a $27 sixth payment.
"I am a mother of eight children, and I desire to see them succeed in their educational pursuits. Though I have had a low-income level from the beginning of the year, I developed a goal of diverting a large proportion of my transfer to paying school fees. I know that if I fail to grant them that opportunity, they will not be responsible people in the future. I wish to see them grow to attain self independence. In addition to that, I also long to be investing part of the transfer to buy goats that I can raise for other family development plans."

Charo
received a $27 fourteenth payment.
"In my family, I am the sole breadwinner. My wife is a housewife and does not have any source of income. She fully leans on my support. As I continue to receive my transfers, I have developed a goal of starting a business for her. I am optimistic that it will create an opportunity for her to raise some income. As a result, the family will have an alternative source of income to help meet the competing family needs. She is likely to succeed in this because she had done business dealing with the sale of vegetables."

"Imagine at the age of 64 years now, charcoal burning remains the main source of income for my household. This work has drained my energy and I am no longer active in it because it is so intensive. Its income is very low, usually $20 per 2 weeks. This earning usually go to food and this explains why I have for a long time lived in a small house that is not worthy of me. I, therefore, consider a financial crisis to be my biggest challenge."

"The land that i constructed my house in is very small. It only stops a few meters and my house covers it all and thus cannot do any other activity like small scale farming on it. So, lack of enough land to grow more crops is the greatest challenge that I am facing. Usually, we get our food from my other small plot of land uphill. Last year in November, the landslides destroyed my crops there, and I got so sad and worried. So my family is big as we are 9 members in the family and there is no enough food to eat. This has been my other challenge."

Josephy
received a $481 second payment.
"GD has really changed my life for the better already as it is. It would be a mistake on my part to let this momentum die out so I wish to build on this by firstly finding a wife to help manage my affairs at home. I feel like now I will be able to support a HH because at first I had no backbone to rely on financially when it came to supporting a HH, hence I couldn't get married."

"I have always wanted to live in a iron sheet roofed house with cement for the floor in all the 4 rooms. Having received this money I am confident next year I will accomplish that dream and accomplish even so much more in life since I will have a comfortable place to call home."

John
received a $481 second payment.
"As a household we are in the process of renovating our current house structure for comfort living. Having received this recent transfer, we went on to buy 6 bags of cement for interior plastering and floor. Then we used some of it to pay for the labourers. This whole project costed us $250. We have used the remainder of that money to buy other household items such as buckets and other kitchen utensils."

Kanze
received a $432 initial payment.
"The most noticeable difference in my daily life is the payment of my son's school fees. Previously, my son would be pulled out of class because of large arrears, but I am grateful that he has consistently attended all classes since then and has been permitted to use all school resources without interruption."
