"My ambition is to start a poultry project which would be more sustainable. Though, this has not been realised before over the years due to financial constraints. To accomplish this, I plan on saving money from my business every month to start the project in bits. I am so grateful for the great opportunity that the organization gave us to uplift our lives."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by visiting each household in the entire village without living anyone out. Also after the enrolment, I was promised that I would receive my money after a certain duration which I am glad was fulfilled. Additionally, I was asked to choose what to purchase according to my needs. I don't see anything new they should introduce even as they move to the next village."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does so well by ensuring that they fulfilled their promises timely. Also, each household received the same amount of money as agreed. Additionally, no one was left out provided they were the residents of the village they were working with. I, therefore, can't point out anything that needs to be changed for now."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does very well in terms of enrolment. With the help of the village elder, they could enroll every member of the village who fit their registration policies. The level of transparency in the enrollment process was top-notch. They even provided some clarification to some members who were not legible. This was a perfect exercise conducted."

"I have two biological children who are in primary school. In addition to that, I also take care of two nephews who are in secondary school and the reason why I take of them is that they are orphans. Upon getting the second transfer, I opted to pay their school fees because they were out of school for the same. Therefore I paid $190 for them and also paid $90 for my primary school children. After so doing, I felt relieved because their absence from school was depriving me of my peace of mind. Thereafter, I bought a goat for $35 and some foodstuff for $20. For the remaining amount, I did some piping for tap water at my shamba where I plan to start vegetable farming through irrigation due to the scarcity of rain in our area."

"I have a piece of land had bought before being enrolled in this support program. My goal is to save as much from my business and start building single rooms. The plot is 50X100 and can take up to five rooms. If I were to accomplish building the single rooms, I would rent for $15, which would be $75 every month. With my current business and another source of income. I believe I would be financially stable."

"GiveDirectly is doing well by providing support through cash transfers. My family has been straining because of the debts that drain all of my husband’s monthly salary. The support program has helped us complete the project and cater to our needs. Hoping to rent out the complete houses, my husband will complete the loan without the family straining in terms of food and school fees. I hope the organization will continue providing unconditional cash transfers, which enable people to cater to different needs"

"I was married with two children but after the death of my mother. I moved back to take care of my two sisters. I completed my tailoring course but had no funds to open up a business. As soon as they enrolled me in the program, I bought a sewing machine for $200 and bought some fabrics and requirements for about $150 to start my tailoring business. Since I am the breadwinner of the family, I used $150 to clear an outstanding balance for my two sisters and my child who are in school. The remaining remaining$50 was used to buy food in bulk, which lasted for two months. I spent the other transfer of $150 on buying more fabrics and requirements for my business. The other $100 was used to buy some building materials and started building a pit latrine. I could not finish the project because I used $150 to pay for one of my sister’s school fees and $70 to buy some furniture and utensils. The remaining cash was used to buy more food because my business was still on the low."
