Priscillar
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"My dream is to establish a tailoring shop and acquire a sewing machine, crucial tools for launching my tailoring business. I am determined to save and accumulate the transfers I receive to make this aspiration a reality. This venture signifies that I can generate income for myself, consequently fulfilling my own needs as well as those of my family. I'm delighted with the progress I've made and how far I've come, especially when I reflect on where I started."

Changawa
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"My primary focus is to invest in chickens for the purpose of raising them and eventually selling them for a profit. Unfortunately, Newcastle disease has posed a significant challenge to this endeavor. In the past, it wiped out my entire flock, leading me to temporarily suspend the business. However, I am eager to revive the business in the near future because it is not capital-intensive and can yield substantial profits once it becomes stable. I am delighted that this venture will not only provide additional income for my family but also serve as a means to acquire more livestock, including goats and cows."

Zawadi
received a $23 eighteenth payment.
"My ultimate goal is to start a livestock rearing venture, with a particular emphasis on raising goats. This project is deeply meaningful to me because it's an investment that will enable me to provide a quality education for my children. I intend to use funds from my other transfers to achieve this objective. I am genuinely grateful to GiveDirectly for affording me the opportunity to transform my life and that of my family."

Sofia
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"My aspiration is to become a teacher, and I plan to make this dream a reality. Once I complete my secondary education, my goal is to join college and pursue a teaching course. Teaching has been my passion since I was a little girl, and I'm grateful that GiveDirectly will provide the means to achieve my dreams. To work towards this goal, I intend to sell the livestock I've accumulated so far. Furthermore, I will use the money from subsequent transfers to support my college education. I'm filled with anticipation about what the future holds and look forward to the journey ahead."

Kazungu
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"My goal is to build a decent house to replace the mud-walled structure that I constructed back in the early 2000s. I have concerns that the old house may not withstand adverse weather conditions and could potentially collapse, leaving my family without shelter. I plan to build a new house with mud walls but include concrete skirting for added durability compared to a house made entirely of mud walls. While I would prefer brick walls for even greater durability, I understand that the monthly cash transfers may not be sufficient for that, and my income from casual house construction jobs is also limited."

Francis
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"I allocate about $5 from the cash transfers every month to the savings and credit cooperative (SACCO). My goal is to obtain a loan from the cooperative and venture into the agricultural business when the timing is right, particularly when the rains come in the future. I wish to start by planting maize crops since they perform well in my region and are a staple food source in my community. This will be a great avenue to generate income and produce food for my domestic consumption."

Karisa
received a $23 twenty-second payment.
"Apart from contributing to household needs like food and school fees for my four grandchildren, my goal is to continue keeping livestock. I am grateful that the cash transfers have helped me become an active provider for the family, relieving the burden from my son's shoulders. If I were to spend the money on daily needs only, I would never get an opportunity to invest in something that can continue generating income even after the transfers end. This is why I am determined to keep rearing goats. I have already secured three goats through previous cash transfers, and I aim to continue increasing the herd."

Saidi
received a $23 seventeenth payment.
"My children used to always be sent out of school due to financial lack. I would do my best to raise cash from my charcoal selling business and my motorcycle business but due to a slow market I would not make enough to sustain them in school. My goal is use my transfers to ensure my children get an education and never miss a day of school. I hope for them to get a chance at opportunities I could not get because of my education."

"I have over the previous months months bough some animals, I now have 2 goats and 3 chicken. This are my productive assets as animals multiply. I believe this animals with reproduce and I will have enough to spare. I plan now to build my skills as an asset to help me set up a hairdressing business so I can make money to educate my children. My plan is to first clear my hairdressing training and then set up a business after from which I will be able to provide for my family."

Katsele
received a $23 seventeenth payment.
"My goal starting next year is to buy building materials aimed at building a new house. My house is almost falling apart and I have not had the cash to build a new one. My transfers have all been focused on school fees since I needed to ensure my children finished school. Two of my children will be finishing secondary education this period and that means I will have less people to provide school fees for. My hope is to use the transfers to slowly buy iron sheets as they are the most expensive and work it from to building poles which once sufficient I will embark on building."
