"Their main challenge I am facing is poverty, because nowadays I don't have money to pay for uniforms and school feeding for my child, I don't have money to pay for health insurance. The other challenge is that I'm living in high risk zone where I wish to leave and go to settle in a good place with others but I don't have means to do so."

"The main challenge we are facing is that we have small land for agriculture , and because of that we don't produce enough, hence the insufficient food for my family. In addition to that we are worried about our children's future because we will not be able to give them their inheritance because we don't have enough pieces of land that will be given to them. The other challenge is that we don't have small livestocks like goats and sheeps and they are very supportive because when you have them you cane sell them and get the money to be used in other needs."

"I am a parent of two boys who are in form three, I used part of the transfers of kshs 25,000 to pay their school fees. Before the GiveDirectly transfers, I never had any stable source of income and providing for my family had been the most difficult task I have ever faced. I used the remaining part of the transfers of kshs 25,000 to build a two-bedroom house. I owned a small grass-thatched house which was leaking during the rainy season. Besides, getting the grass for replacement was tiresome as transportation was too costly. I thank Give Directly for the transfers as my peace of mind is finally restored."

"GiveDirectly has completely transformed the lives of myself and my children. The changes brought about by the funds they provided us have been so drastic and occurred in such a short period of time, that it is mind-blowing. GiveDirectly excels at impacting and transforming lives on a scale few can imagine."

"For many years, we have been living with my husband and our 6 children at my parent's home. This is against the norms of our tradition and my spouse was constantly mocked by our neighbours. I had desired to own a piece of land where we could build a structure and start our home but this was in vain due to a lack of financial resources. To actualize our longing, we spent $100 of the recent transfer to compile the payments of half an acre piece of land. Moreover, I used part of the remaining amount to purchase the required building material for the construction of a house like iron sheets and poles. Currently, I am happy with the ongoing construction activities that are taking place in our new area. I am positive that we will finally fulfil our dreams something that will instil peace of mind in our lives. Lastly, I saved $50 which will assist me in paying the school fees for my 6 children who are still in public primary school."

"In my opinion, Give directly did well in coming to our area and offering help by enrolling poor households. Through the transfer, a lot of transformation has happened in our area. I think there is nothing they could do better than continue to support the less fortunate individuals in society."
